Abstract:

Extranodal lymphomas involving the female genital tract is rare, ovary being the most common site followed by uterus, cervix, vulva and vagina. Patients usually present with non-specific symptoms like vaginal bleeding, persistent vaginal discharge, perineal discomfort or urinary obstruction due to the mass without typical “B symptoms” associated with lymphoma. Owing to the rarity and non-specific symptomatology, the diagnosis and treatment of these lymphomas are often delayed. Chemoimmunotherapy with Rituximab, Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Oncovin, and Prednisone (RCHOP) regime is the preferred treatment. A seventy-year-old lady presented with complaints of post-menopausal bleeding per vaginum and passage of clots and was subsequently diagnosed with high grade B cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (NHL) of endometrium, Stage IV E. She attained complete response after 6 cycles of R CHOP and is on regular follow up now. This case is being reported in view of its rarity.
